bottle front garden Update

 My neighbours are staring to notice summat going on in my front garden

the gardens on my bit of Ttachbrook Rd have narrow strips of garden front and back

 no one uses there front garden for much a bit of grass, a few roses, parking cars

not sure  they quite know what to think.

final painting in split canvas series

this is I hope the final painting in split canvas series. I've tried adjusting the colour composition and size. this is the largest cheep canvas I could get from The Works and big tubs of acrylic from Hobbie Craft. I'm going to research a new source of paint and perhaps work on canvas off the roll.

 Divided canvas. viewing a figure on stage/in a miror;  viewing ones self

 reluctance to join the figure in the spotlight

 this painting has changed;  my attention has moved from the viewing figure to the one on stage or in a mirror. how I feel the world sees me

 I am reminded of Frances Bacon's work the internal space he sets up . Also Alan Jones "Stages"

A new way of painting

In the last couple of months I've been attending counselling sessions run by cruise
last week I felt I couldn't deal with the massive wave of previously suppressed emotion.
painting bottles just wasn't enough.

 I finally got very physical with the materials trashed a canvas before this face emerged from the black.

I then painted this figure with a new and satisfying freedom

Using blue as a base skin colour mixing green & purple to get neutral shadows emerging from black
